Where do I start this week?
First with the miracles! My Español! Wow If you didn’t believe in miracles before just listen to my Spanish! I know without a doubt that God has really poured out his blessings on me! The key is to follow commandments: ) I have learned that every commandment has a corresponding blessing and when I really strive to talk and love this people my Spanish is clear! wow!
Next we lost our cell phone.... and seeing as we’re new here and don’t know anyone in our area, this was a problem. We went on a wild goose chase to find a public phone and ended up in the police station using an officer’s cell, hahaha but one of the officers we meet was this super awesome young man who we ended up teaching, he is so ready for the gospel!
But my Favorite was that we had a baptism this week! Hna Macarana has been waiting a very long time for this day, her life was full of many hard sad events but she´s made it through! For many reasons this baptism was hard, Satan did NOT want it to happen, but Satan is no match for two Gringas working for the Lord!
I am loving my new area! We are white washing here (we are both new in the area, so we are basically starting from scratch ) and It’s the best!!!! Our current game plan is to form a rejects team here : ) There are many people in the congregation that feel like they have been rejected ( I am not ok with this) so were going to change that! We’re finding all those who need more love and helping them find strength in one another! We’re using the same plan that Alma used in Alma 3.... This is my Favorite part of the mission! I may not be the best speaker, I may not have a commanding presence but I can love this people! I have found something out about myself here, I have always been a little annoyed that everyone I meet thinks I´m young and a little helpless and frail, But you know what that is a blessing!! I have been able to talk to people here that before had rejected the missionaries, but because I do look so young and a little fragile (a little gringa in Chile who knows very little Spanish) I have been able to help people who before did not want to be helped! I am so grateful for being able to be a tool for the Lord!
I love you all and know the Lord is watching over you! You are in my prayers always!
love,
Hna Madi Fullmer
Ps the other photo is our failed attempt at comfort brownies : ) my companion is the best : )
