This week we seemed to be traveling every day! My sector is the farthest north in my mission, and the border of our sector is Argentina! (Which really is just in the middle of the Andes somewhere) Point being, when we need to go to Santiago (happened 2x this week) we have to travel in bus for 2 hours. This is actually really nice, the buses have airplane chairs and it’s a great time to finally catch my breath but..... That means 4 less hours I´m working in my sector! This week we had exchanges with other Hermanas in the city, this meant I brought Hna. Rivera back with me to the Andes. It was so much fun to work with her for the day! Hna. Rivera is from Mexico and is the sweetest girl but at the same time is a little sassy: ) way fun! We worked hard, then after had homemade tortillas and guacamole! But the best part was our lesson with Christian and Gypsy! We have been struggling a little to find people in this sector to teach, but this family has been just awesome! And when we got there Christian quickly informed us that he had been reading and praying about this and though he hasn´t gotten an answer from God yet, he thinks that the Book of Mormon is true!!! During lession 2!!!! Wow! I love this family! I know that God has blessed us for your hard work! It may seem slow but the blessings will always come!
A word on the weather. I’m sure your thinking ‘wow its South America I bet it’s never cold’.... wrong. hahaha It only gets about 26 degrees which isn’t too cold, but Chileans don’t believe in heaters..... They’re almost scared of the cold but they refuse to put in heats hahaha so we all make do with little space heaters. Chileanos are funny that way : )
Today we got to climb the Hill of Virgin Mary!! From the top you were completely surrounded by the Andes and could see the whole valley! wow!!! I am so blessed to be living in the beautiful place!!
Love you all,
Hna Madi Fullmer
Ps. The first photo is of my and Hna Rivera and the others are from the hill : ) enjoy!
