MIRICALS IN THE STREET
This week we have made lots of progress! Hna. Crump and I are really learning to work better together. I wanted to tell you about a huge miracle that we saw this week! Friday night I was with Hna. Gordillo, from Peru, and as we were on our way home, I felt like I should talk to a lady with her baby that we were about to pass. I could tell that Hna Gordillo had felt the same, because she stopped and started talking with her. As soon as I saw the face of this women, I knew I had met her but I couldn’t remember how. After a couple of minutes, I realized that it was Rina! Rina was an investigator in my last sector. After a couple of minutes she stopped me and said, ¨Hna, I have to tell you something¨. With tears in her eyes she told me that her husband had just kicked her out of the house after hitting her. I started calling everyone I knew while Hna Gordillo listened to her story. In the end, we walked to our apartment complex and sat down in the common area. After many calls, I still couldn´t find anyone to help us. After a prayer, Hna Gordillo suggested that we ask the guy at the front desk if she could stay in the common area. Well, I thought she was a little crazy, but God had led us to Rina, so he needed to lead us to a solucion. And when we asked the man at the desk, he said YES!! We ran to our apartment to find food and blankets and a Book of Mormon. We had the opportunity to share with her a Book of Mormon and a prayer. I was awed by how aware God was of her and her needs. It was a testament to me that God answers prayers, even unspoken ones : ) I know that God provides us a way ALWAYS! We were happy to be part of this miracle.
I don´t know if you will remember Francisco. He was an investigator in my last sector (I’m still in that ward but in a different sector). He was good friends with a member (George) who was becoming active and wanted to baptize his son. Well, guess what???? Two weeks ago George baptized Angelina (the mom of Francisco) and Lucas (his son), and this week he baptized Francisco!!! It was amazing! They have been working for this goal for months and even though I´m in their sector now, I am so happy for them! It was a privilege to be a small part of their story!
Life is good! And God is so aware of us!
SED DE BUEN ANIMO!!
