Hello all!
Sorry about last week’s email, I sent too many pictures and it refused to send!
A word of caution, I am forgetting English words and this spell check is in Espanola. Life is good! It’s so true! My Spanish is improving in leaps and bounds! I may not have come with very much knowledge but I am going to learn this language! I can sort of communicate with people now!! haha But only if you want to talk about church things.
This week was fantastic, I have learned so much! We have been teaching 20 min lessons in Spanish since day 3 and I’m starting to be able to talk and answer questions without a script!! My companion is great at Spanish and I know a lot more of the doctrine, so we make a great team!
A word about the food..... They are noooot fan of whole wheats. My diet contains the best white bread made on the earth, noodles, rice, potatoes, assorted sauces and meats, chocolate pastries, which are to die for, and cereal with yogurt! haha Needless to say, I’m missing my fruits and veggies!
My lack of balance finally caught up with me this week! As I was walking with my district I suddenly fell and just before I hit the ground my companion caught me, but my ankle hurt like the dickens, and I wasn’t ready to look at the damage. Good ol’ Elder Peck just stared and said ‘Oh no! Ooooooh no!’ That’s when the fear set in. Was I just not feeling all the pain, was my ankle even still attached???? I asked if I could look, Elder pope said of course and........... it was just a sprained ankle I’ve hobbling around since Saturday, but all is well!
Have I said yet that Chile is the best place on the earth?? Well it is! I know that God loves these people! I can feel that more than I can say! I can’t wait to share that love and help these people!!!
Love you,
Hermana Fullmer
