I love transfers because it gives us a chance to change! I’ve been in this sector for 3 transfers now, and we haven’t yet seen the fruits of our labors, and I had started to feel a little discouraged. Not that I doubted we were working hard or that we were doing the work of the Lord, but I thought that just maybe we wouldn’t ever see the results of our work. Well, The Hna. Ward is not in agreement with that train of thought. She is awesome! We are making more goals and are determined to see progress here! It has reminded me a lot of my favorite scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 123 17. Sometimes you just gotta wait for it!
“Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.”
We have been working a lot with finding new investigadores! This week we found Carlos! He´s just a hoot! He is a middle-aged man who lives with his son. He´s rockn’ the Chilean hipster with a mustache : ) He is very open to the gospel, but sometimes he likes to be a little stubborn just to be stubborn. For example, when Hna. Ward asked if it was ok if we started with a prayer, he said no that we had told him that we were going to talk, so we should talk first! Haha, I think it is just way funny, but my companion doesn´t know how to react... which makes it even funnier… poor girl : )
We also reconnected with Maggi! She was the neighbor of one of our Chilean moms. Maggi has been through a lot, and for a month she felt like she did not have time or energy for God, but we got to talk to her again this week! We are trying to help her see that we have faith to help us during the moments when we feel like we don’t have time or energy! She is very special, and though her lifestyle has been a little worldly, I know that I am here in Chile to help her.
I hope that your spring is just wonderful!
Love you!
