This week I have really been thinking about my 100%. There were two sisters in our group of missionaries that were having problems. The one had decided she could not give anymore: that she had had enough, and that the only option now was to ask for a change. But the other Sister wanted to change. She wanted to make things work. It was interesting to see that choosing to not put in our 100% effects all those around us. The second sister could see that we never finish giving our 100%, not until the Lord says well done. In the end, we had to say goodbye to that sister, as she received transfers to another sector. I know that Christ has big plans for her, and though it will be harder and harder with each passing trail, I know that if she keeps giving her 100%, the Lord will give her much more.
This week we spent a lot of time with Maggi! Maggi was a referral from a member, our ¨mother¨ here in Santiago, Hna Beatrice! Maggi lives in the next apartment! She is 24 and has a 3 year old daughter, Isabela : ) Maggi has a,.... strong persanalidad : ) She has had to learn to be very independent. At a young age, she left her house and went to live in the south 100% alone. I love seeing how this gospel is softening her : ) She still likes to listen to her music rather loudly and every once in a while a swear word slips out (the only reason I know they are swear words is because she lets us know that we shouldn’t repeat them : ) ) But she is changing. She told us that she feels something special when were there : ) I am so grateful that Hna. Beatrice choice to open her mouth and share this gospel, so that Maggi too can feel Christ’s love and see her own potential!
Thank you for all your love and support! Life is hard, but it’s all worth it if we get to live with our families forever with Christ!
Sed de Buen animo! Never let the grey clouds get you down; they just make the moment when the sun comes out that much sweeter :) LOVE YOU ALL
