Hello All!

Before I tell you about all the crazy things that happened when we talked to men on the street, I wanted to give you a knee update : )

My knees are getting better : ) I have to stay in the house a little bit longer to do some special exercises, but as long as we’re smart about how we work, they don´t bother me too much : ) Don´t worry about us the Lord will always provide! Thank you for your prayers and love. I know that they really helped me heal and progress.

Ok, back to the good stuff : )

1.    Well, I’ll go ahead and get the bad one out of the way : ) So we were contacting on a main road. Hna McCoard was talking with another guy when this man came up to me and started talking. Now I didn´t think he was drunk, but I also am probably the worst drunk detector. The point is he went in for the Latino kiss (a normal greeting where you touch cheeks) BUUUUUUUT were not aloud to do this with men (cuz were young gringas talking to random men on the street), so I was trying to explain this when he GRABBED my head!!! Well, really just my hair! Thankfully, he immediately walked away like nothing was up. Welp, that’s Santiago : )

2.    John! So here in our sector, we have a lot of less active members that we’ve been working with. The last sisters here really had only one investigator, so we have been really searching for people to help and teach. One day last week we ran into John (yes, it is John, not Juan, gets me every time) cleaning his car. We started talking to him and found out that he lived with his family in our same apartment complex! So we made an appointment for this Saturday. We showed up Saturday even though he hadn´t answered his phone when we called to confirm, and he let us in. Note that we didn´t recognize him at first, but I thought well, I hope its him, but I see a lady inside (we cant go into a house with only a man) so lets just go for it! And it was him (yay!) and we got to share with his Adorable wife (Paola) and 6 year old Daughter (Sofia)!! They are so ready, and we are just pumped to help them come unto Christ!

3.    One day I saw this Guy (tall black man) on a bench as we were grabbing something out of our apartment. I felt like I should talk to him, but I waited a second too late : ( but on our way back down, I got a second chance to talk to him!! His name is Andres, and he is here from Columbia (there are more Columbians and Peruvians then Chileans in our sector). Later, we had an awesome lession with him, and he told us that he ¨promise with all of my heart¨ to pray and ask if what we said was true!!

I know with all of my heart that when we give up our will to God he will lead us to who needs this truth and away from danger : ) We just need to keep our chins up, and love!

I want to leave you with one more thought.

We had a conference this week and the speaker got up and asked the choir to all sing their favorite song.... It was horrible, everyone singing over each other. He then asked them to sing the last bar of the song they had prepared... Beautiful! What was the difference? When we work by ourselves without thinking of others, we don´t get to far! We need to work in harmony!

 Love you all!

Sed de buen animo!

Love,

Hna. Fullmer

Ps This is the view from our window : )
